“The blessings of the temple are priceless.” Thomas S. Monson
LDS Temple are beautiful. That is truly and undisputed fact. Anyone who has seen the Salt Lake Temple or the San Diego Temple are forced to except that as truth. However temples are so much more than beautiful buildings. The true beauty in temples comes after you have entered.
Temples are literally houses of the Lord. They are holy places of worship where individuals make sacred covenants with God. They are places of learning whose principal purpose is to provide ordinances necessary the children of God the necessary knowledge in order to return to dwell with Him. The word endowment means “gift,” and the temple endowment truly is a gift from God.
Today I received that gift as I went through the temple. I truly was blessed by the knowledge I received and the covenants I made. I feel so much gratitude for my wonderful parents and their example. We have so much to be grateful for.
